Qualifications of the Role:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8 years of demonstrated experience in data center operation with an experience in managing the end-to-end operations in a data center overseeing and providing guidance to the third-party vendor on managing storage systems, provisioning storage resources, configuring storage arrays, implementing data replication and backup solutions.

What You Will Be Doing in the Role?
Infrastructure Management: Responsible for overseeing the third-party vendors who take care of the overall operations and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power and cooling systems.
Resource Allocation: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal use of data center resources and scalability to meet changing business requirements. Identify the best practices in the industry and implement them in align with organization policy
Server Deployment and Configuration: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on server deployments, hardware upgrades, and software installations, and ensuring that server configurations meet performance, security, and compliance standards. Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on handling the procurement of the required set of instruments.
Network Management: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on configuring and maintaining network equipment, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Storage Administration: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on managing storage systems, provisioning storage resources, configuring storage arrays, implementing data replication and backup solutions, and ensuring data integrity and availability
Security and Compliance: Enforce data center security policies and procedures, oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on implementing access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for data security and privacy.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on developing and implementing disaster recovery plans, backup and restore procedures, and failover mechanisms to ensure data center resilience and continuity of operations in the event of disasters or outages
Leadership and Development: Lead and provide guidance to the third-party vendor and the extended team of data center technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Documentation and Change Management: Oversee and provide guidance to the third-party vendor on maintaining the accurate documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and operational processes, and adhering to change management policies and procedures for implementing changes to data center infrastructure
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance service support processes and procedures. Collaborate with vendors to implement improvements, streamline workflows, and optimize service delivery. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in service operations.
