Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Program Manager with a deep understanding of both finance and the retail industry to lead our SAP S/4 HANA finance transformation projects. The ideal candidate will drive the end-to-end implementation of financial processes, ensuring that the solution aligns with retail-specific financial challenges such as multi-channel accounting, margin management, and retail financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules (FI/CO) within a retail organization, managing large-scale transformation programs to meet financial objectives and operational efficiencies.
Finance and Retail Alignment: Ensure the SAP S/4 HANA Finance solution addresses retail-specific requirements such as inventory management, store profitability, multi-location accounting, and real-time sales analytics.
Project Management: Manage multiple project workstreams, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost Center Accounting, Asset Accounting, Bank and Cash management, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO, finance directors, and key retail stakeholders to gather business requirements and align SAP S/4 HANA solutions with financial strategies, especially in areas such as sales margin reporting, stock valuation, and tax compliance in retail environments.
Risk Management and Compliance: Implement controls and ensure adherence to financial compliance requirements (GAAP, IFRS, SOX) while managing risks associated with large-scale system implementations in a retail finance setting.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams of SAP consultants, finance specialists, IT experts, and third-party vendors, ensuring collaborative project execution and seamless integration of SAP S/4 HANA with retail finance systems.
Retail Financial Reporting: Ensure the implementation of advanced financial reporting functionalities within SAP S/4 HANA, enabling real-time data access and insights for retail financial metrics like inventory turnover, sales forecasting, and customer profitability.
Change Management and User Adoption: Drive change management initiatives by providing training and support to retail finance teams, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes within the SAP S/4 HANA environment.
Integration Expertise: Oversee the integration of SAP S/4 HANA Finance with other retail systems (e.g., Retail operations, POS, supply chain management etc.), ensuring a seamless flow of financial data across the business.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize finance-related processes within the SAP S/4 HANA platform, leveraging retail-specific insights and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
SAP Expertise: 10+ years of experience in SAP Program Management, with specific expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules. Experience in leading financial transformations for retail organizations is highly preferred.
Retail Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of retail-specific finance processes, including multi-channel revenue recognition, inventory management, pricing, promotions, tax, and compliance management.
Project Management: Proven ability to lead large, complex SAP implementations, managing multiple workstreams, budgets, resources, and timelines.
Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules (FI/CO), and a solid understanding of integration points between finance and other SAP modules in a retail environment.
Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and collaborate across business and technical teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Certifications: PMP, Agile methodology certifications, or SAP S/4 HANA Finance certification is preferred.
