Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) Cloud Service is a cloud-based solution that provides strategic and financial product planning functions for retailers. MFP Cloud Service supports industry planning standards for pre-season and in-season processes, enabling retailers to create and manage financial plans in a structured and efficient way.

MFP Cloud Service facilitates the creation of financial plans through the following processes:

  • Setting and passing targets to lower levels of the merchandise hierarchy
  • Reconciling plans among different levels, such as merchandise targets, merchandise plan, location targets, and location plan
  • Approving plans at the merchandise and location levels
  • Monitoring and maintaining plans at all levels
  • Replanning at all levels based on actual performance and changing market conditions

MFP Cloud Service allows retailers to plan sales, markdowns, inventory, and receipts by type (regular, clearance, or promotional) at various levels of granularity, such as department, subclass, week, and area. MFP Cloud Service also enables retailers to plan total sales, markdowns, and inventory by using average store metrics and user-defined hierarchies with location attributes, such as comp, volume, size, climate, demographics, etc.

MFP Cloud Service is part of the Oracle Retail Predictive Planning Suite, which also includes Oracle Retail Assortment Planning Cloud Service and Oracle Retail Item Planning Cloud Service. These solutions work together to provide an integrated and comprehensive planning platform for retailers.
