Job Title: Senior Solution Architect - D365 F&O and Retail POS

Role Purpose:
The Senior Solution Architect will play a strategic role in designing, testing, and implementing solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and MPOS CPOS environments. This role is crucial for delivering seamless technology support and integration across the client’s diverse retail brands and operational needs, driving efficiency and scalability in alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design, development, and deployment of customizations and integrations for Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O and MPOS/CPOS to meet specific business requirements across various retail brands.
Integration Management: Architect and execute integrations with external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functional consistency across the organization’s technology landscape.
Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in Dynamics D365, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and advanced technical support for the existing D365 ecosystem.
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of D365 components, leveraging SQL diagnostics, debugging tools, and monitoring to ensure high system responsiveness and reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, technical consultants, development team, and other project teams, to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable D365 F&O solutions.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Establish and maintain development standards, focusing on delivering projects that align with budgetary constraints, avoid post go-live incidents, and mitigate any risk of operational disruption.
Financial KPIs:
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Achieve change requests with no post go-live incidents or rework.
Maintain system uptime and minimize business operation disruptions.
Technical Competencies:
D365 F&O Customization and Integration: Advanced experience in developing and customizing D365 F&O, with strong expertise in MPOS/CPOS functionality and retail-specific workflows.
Performance Analysis: Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting performance issues within D365 environments using SQL trace parsers, debugging tools, and performance counters.
Data Management & Integration: Proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services, data warehousing, and data replication, along with advanced SQL skills for creating procedures and functions.
D365 F&O Workflow & BI Integration: Solid knowledge of D365 F&O Workflow, with experience integrating business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and insights.
Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and TFVC for version control, deployment pipelines, and continuous integration.
APIs & Third-Party Integration: Proficiency in consuming and integrating third-party APIs within the D365 ecosystem to extend functionality and ensure seamless system interaction.
Personal Characteristics and Required Background:
Experience:
10+ years of experience as a D365 F&O technical specialist, with extensive solution architecture experience.
3+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Retail (MPOS/CPOS).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, IT, or related fields.
Relevant Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 certifications (Installation & Configuration, Development) required.
Microsoft SQL Database Administration certification is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment, managing remote resources effectively.
