Job Role
Develop, test, and deploy customizations for Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities
Develop Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O customizations based on specifications provided by functional and technical consultants
Integrate Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics F&O with various external systems
Support existing software ecosystem (Microsoft Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365, Microsoft SQL Server, various integrations) by finding, troubleshooting, and resolving issues reported by users
Monitor and improve performance of various components of the existing software ecosystem
Deploy AX and Dynamics 365 F&O changes to production environments
Measure of success:
Completed change requests
Percentage of projects delivered on time and within quality
Reduction in repetitive support incidents
Reduced system downtime
Attained support SLA (Service Level Agreements)
Requirements
Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioural competencies needed)
Experience integrating to and from Dynamics AX using AIF (Application Integration Framework), OData, and custom services
Development and customization experience in Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O using the MorphX Development Suite and X++
Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps including source code management and CI/CD pipeline design
Practical experience with testing and debugging performance issues in AX environments using AX and SQL trace parsers, AX debugger, evaluating performance counters and SQL DMVs, etc.
Applying customizations and hotfixes to Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O
System administration experience
Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services, replication of OLAP data, and data warehousing.
Strong knowledge of the Dynamics AX Workflow architecture
Knowledge of built-in Dynamics AX BI (Business Intelligence) components (Role Centers, KPI’s, Cubes)
AX Enterprise Portals / Microsoft SharePoint knowledge
Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
Excellent communication skills (presenting to and supporting customers)
Ability to work alone or within a team
Minimum experience
10+ years of experience as Microsoft Dynamics AX technical specialist
5+ years of experience as Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations / Dynamics 365 F&O technical specialist
3+ years of experience of management Microsoft SQL databases
Proven record of delivered Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations / Dynamics 365 F&O projects
Minimum Qualifications/education
Microsoft Dynamics AX Installation & Configuration Certification
Microsoft Dynamics AX Development Certification
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Development Certification
